Late Night Music Veterans Day Edition Part 21.........."Songs From The Heart"

I realize that most of you are probably expecting another dry comedic blog here. Well, I have plenty of them left in me, but this week always brings about a reflective mood that I really can't explain. Veterans Day is one of the most underrated holidays and some of these songs make me appreciate those men and women even more. With the recent passing of my grandfather this summer, who himself was a Marine Veteran of the 1930's, I have been a mood of reflection not only of his life, but of my own. To those of you who really know me, you can probably pick the time in my life that I have turned to these songs as a way for music to be my escape. Some of you may have even been there the first time. Some of you might think of these songs as "sad" but I don't think a single one of these songs are sad, they are POWERFUL, maybe you can get something out them if you didn't know them already. Sometimes you think you know a song, but it's that moment in your life where it really counts when the song really sets you on fire (in a good way). Maybe these songs can bring about that fire in you that you might need. If nothing else, take a listen, and you might find a song that you can really relate to. Unlike usual, I won't describe the songs, I'll just list them. Also, let me wish all of you veterans out there a terrific Veterans Day Week, as you deserve so much more than what you get.
